Kilronan Branch 3 — external tree and marriage-certificate leads
The supplied Gedcom.ged, produced by MacFamilyTree 10.3.1, is retained as a separate source tree, kilronanmac-external. No full-tree import or merge into the user’s Ancestry/FTM tree has been performed.
Proposed structure
Unknown McManus (possibly about 1790) → James McManus (about 1820) and Elizabeth Kelly → sons John (1838) and Thomas (about 1840–1842). John’s partner Bridget Kearns and Thomas’s partner Elizabeth Kearns are included. All 20 children listed for these two couples are included: 12 for John and Bridget, and 8 for Thomas and Elizabeth. Their spouses and descendants are not included. The export lists 20, not 30, children for these families. These records remain provisional; completeness in this export does not prove the historical child list is complete.
Evidence to obtain
James’s source note cites marriage certificates of sons John and Thomas to Bridget and Elizabeth Kearns at Bishop Auckland, giving 8 January 1866 and 18 January 1869. Check the originals for the precise pairing, named fathers, occupations, witnesses and residence. Family F22 explicitly records 8 January 1866; F33 has Bishop Auckland but no date. The 1869 date has not been silently assigned to that family event.
Source family F21 gives James and Elizabeth’s marriage as 1 January 1837, Roscommon without an attached event citation. Their approximate 1820 births require checking alongside it.
The proposed ancestor’s source birth is about 1890. Kevin suggests about 1790 as a likely correction. Both the correction and the parent-child link remain provisional; this man is not identified as the shared R-FT194071 ancestor.
Two source entries named Elizabeth Kearns are attached to Thomas. The profile selected here uses I124, attached to the family with children; 99961348 is a possible duplicate requiring review.
