Obtain the register image and full archive citation: parish, register volume, page and entry number. Check the names, ages, county names and witness readings against the French. The priest’s name is not provided in the notes.
If the translation is accurate and the couple’s identity is established, this entry would directly name Michael’s parents. Until that review, it adds reported evidence rather than resolving all parentage or birthplace questions.
Longford conflicts with Roscommon in the later cemetery notes. The implied birth around 1831 also differs from the chart’s 1833 and the cemetery note’s 1834. Do not replace those records silently or assume a migration between counties. “Native of” should be checked in context rather than converted automatically into a precise birthplace.
The accompanying migration discussion is a research hypothesis, not established family history. No new kinship or migration links have been created from it.
