Overview
Kinawley sits just north of the Cavan border, paired with Swanlinbar parish. Many McManus lines here later appear in County Leitrim civil records after 1864, showing constant cross-border movement.

The Fermanagh McManus population descends from older Ulster septs. Many leased small holdings from the Brooke estate of Colebrooke and moved freely across county lines.
